Pioneer Day

Laun had Pioneer Day off, so we filled the day with fun.

Laun and Clayton went long range shooting this morning in Elberta, Utah, with Dave (a nutritionist who works with Laun) and the Batemans.

We all headed to Big Cottonwood Canyon and it was gorgeous.

Carter’s probably wondering why he’s still in the truck.

We took the ski lift:

The four of us all fit on one bench.

Clayton and Porter shared a bench.

We got off at the top of the mountain.

We took a little hike.

Laun hiked ahead and put Carter on the side of the trail, staying nearby, to see if I would notice my baby. It caught me off guard, seeing the cutest baby just sitting there, holding a flower.

Laun, Clayton and Porter decided to hike down, while I took the youngins down the ski lift.

The only problem was that after we saw Laun, Carter wanted nothing to do with me and squirmed the rest of the ride. He’s a daddy’s boy for sure.

We stopped in at Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery for a treat.

We all shared a waffle cone & a brownie covered in ice cream. It was pricey, but so good.

We took a little walk around Silver Lake and were so excited to see moose!

We had to stop by Park City because I really needed to ride the Alpine slide. I took all the big kids with me on the ski lift up the mountain.

While we were doing that, Laun took Carter for a carousel ride and he loved it! No wonder he’s Carter’s favorite!

We ended the night with pizza and a swim, while watching fireworks in the distance.
