celebrating Christmas & the New Year with the Turley’s

My parents had all of their kids & grandkids together today. That explains why we had family pictures earlier.  Luckily, we saved the better part for tonight (I mean who really enjoys taking family pictures anyway). My parents gave everyone their Christmas presents tonight…it was great, it was like extending the holiday.

I love this picture…it reminds me of how much fun Andy & I used to have at the church dances growing up. We let each kid pick a dance move & then we all had to copy them, pretty funny dances.

 

Porter likes to incorporate climbing in his dance moves.

 

How cute are Josiah & Marlee dancing together…I love when these two get together, they are so funny, crazy & cute. Marlee is sporting her new outfit from Grandma Turley. She loved the pink tutu.

My mom gave several of the grandkids blocks & Legos tonight, they loved playing in the hall with them. I loved how jammed in they are, but they like the lights in the hallway & the flat surface. 

It was great to see all of my siblings today & spend time together with everyone.

Laun is a genius

Not only did Laun think to bring tic-tacs to the photo shoot today, he also brought Capri suns. 

No wonder kids love Laun!

My mom really wanted family pictures while all of us siblings and our families were in town. We couldn’t find a photographer, so since we have a camera and tripod, we took them. I made some mistakes, but for the most part, I think they turned out pretty good. Especially considering that I had to set the camera timer on for the big group photos and then run into the pictures. I should have zoomed in closer to some of the big family pictures, but I learned a lot and we got family photos accomplished!

Prepping for pictures

I am taking family pictures today for my parents, their children & grandchildren. I decided to go to the park to look for some spots where I wanted to take the pictures later today. The kids were pretty patient as we looked around.

 

They were excited to find a mamma chicken with her chicks.

11 years tomorrow…

With my parents & the Layton’s watching our kiddos, Laun & I went out to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary (which is tomorrow).

We went to a museum, but I couldn’t take many pictures because they restrict it in most parts.

 

This hanging wood on strings was probably my favorite piece.

 

Tonight we went out to dinner at Pappadeaux for a seafood dinner. We got our usual calamari for an appetizer.

I am so thankful to Laun. He always brings excitement to my life. I love you always Laun! Happy 11 years!

Our anniversary is tomorrow, so Laun & I are celebrating. Since we are in Phoenix already to be with family, we took off & the Layton’s watched our kids today.

They took them to the Phoenix Zoo & took lots of great pictures for us-
