Parker Canyon Lake

Laun took the boys, Sunthorn and Yao on a fishing trip. They rented a little boat and had a great time.

 

Porter got to use his new tackle box today.

look what came in the mail today…

Porter found something exciting in the mail box today. It was the AYSO soccer newsletter and he was on the front page! They had a picture of all the 2011 Sportsmanship Award winners, and Porter won that award from his coach last season, so he got to be in the newsletter. Way to go Porter!

Reid Park Zoo

There is a new family of elephants at the zoo. They were pretty far back though, so I couldn’t really get any close-up shots like I wanted to. The baby was so cute.

 

Porter and Marlee are in this major like or dislike faze. They are either little buddies or yelling at each other, today (well at least at the zoo) they were buddies.

Blue & Gold Banquet

The boys are both in scouts now & tonight they had the Blue & Gold Banquet dinner & award night. Marlee & I missed out since Marlee is sick. Laun was going to the truck to get our camera & they ended up giving Porter his little badge to collect beads & Clayton his Religious Square Knot, while Laun was still outside. Ha ha, so I guess we all missed seeing the boys go up. Luckily, Laun got some pictures of the boys tonight & Porter’s constant grin:)

Porter’s baptism

Our little man Porter had his baptism today and he was so excited.

After the baptism we had a lunch in at our home: adobada (amazing recipe from our friend Misty) and a yummy cake that Darleen and Jonathan made.


Most of our family and friends had to head out right after lunch, so we were hurrying to feed them and I didn’t get pictures of hardly anyone that came. I was bummed to not get a picture of Laun’s siblings together or of my mom. At least my mom got a picture of my Dad with Porter though. It was just a busy day!

Porter got some neat presents today.
His Great Turley Grandparents sent him a scout book and shirt, since he is now in scouts.


Grandma Lucy got him a whole bag of goodies and Dr. Collier got him a tackle box.


Jared’s family got him a journal (which Porter has already used to record his baptismal thoughts in today) and my Mom gave Porter a towel (which he used at his baptism today) and my sister Rachel embroidered it.


Tonight the boys all played cards.

Today was such a wonderful day and we were so thankful for everyone who came to share it with us and support Porter. We love our Porter and are so proud of his choice to be baptized.
