Carter’s almost 2 weeks old, crazy! And to think he hasn’t reached his due date yet. He’s got bigger ear lobes like Cooper did:)
Today Laun, Marlee, Mom and I went out to eat. This is the first time I’ve taken Carter to a restaurant and he did pretty good.
Marlee really liked the food, especially the hummus, even though her face looks otherwise.
He’s so tiny and is still in newborn clothes.
Porter really loves Carter:
Today we took Carter to a urologist and he will be just fine. It was an awful day yesterday and I‘m glad it’s over and that Carter is okay.
We ate the yummy chocolate-mouse tart that my mom got from our stop to Bread and Beyond yesterday.
Jennette came by to see Carter…I think she liked him, in case you can’t tell from her smile.
Today Carter got circumcised. It’s the worst, I hate it, but I don’t want him to have infections later on.
Laun watched the baby while my mom and I went to Beyond Bread for lunch, which was delicious.
When we got back from lunch and I changed Carter’s diaper there was too much blood and he was so upset, so Laun and I took Carter back to the doctor, while my mom watched our other kids. It was awful and he was in so much pain. I’m so glad Laun was there with me, with my post pregnancy hormones and my sweet baby so sad, I cried so much. It is the worst seeing your baby in so much pain.
The happy news…baby quail are hatching in our incubator.
Before Carter was born Laun used to get Marlee out of bed in the mornings and bring her in our bed for snuggles. I think we’ve all been missing snuggle time with our little girl. We played some catching up today.
Marlee really wanted a sister, but I think it’s safe to say she adores this little brother of hers.

Poor Carter got his heel pricked today. I’m glad my mom was here to help. I’ve been squeezing in all of the appointments I can for Carter while I’ve got my mom around.

My sister Rachel lent me these awesome snuggle blankets. After having my 5th child you think I’d be a swaddle pro by now, but I’m not. These swaddle blankets are awesome because they velcro and keep tight.
Clayton had a great soccer season. He played with a boy named Luca and Luca’s dad would take pictures of their soccer games. Here is the one’s he took of Clayton this season…I love them.

In both these pictures you can see Laun in the background cheering on Clayton. Laun sets a chair up, but hardly sits down:) He is Clayton’s biggest fan.
This picture’s funny because it looks like Laun is walking on the field, but he’s not. That goal you see is for another field. Laun talks for so much of the game that I’ve told him he should be a coach, he’d be amazing.
