Carter got new foot braces and shoes today. They will work for now, but they were a little loose, so they ordered him some smaller ones. He got to walk around and tried them out. It really helps give his feet stability and not roll inward, so he can walk better. This is one of the employees he really liked, probably because he didn’t wake up in a body cast around him.
I got an ultra sound today. Laun was out of town and it was while the boys were at school, but Clayton was nice enough to leave school early and watch Carter so I could go kid free (well, besides the kid in my belly). My due date is July 11th, I’m 16 weeks along and it’s a GIRL! Marlee will be delighted and I’m very excited to have another girl.
The ultra sound pictures will be even better at the next month’s appointment, but the baby is looking cute.
The ultra sound guy showed me how big my baby is right now, amazing.
I came home with ice cream for the kids and told them that pink ice cream was for a girl and blue was for a boy. Marlee was so excited when she pulled the blanket off and found the pink ice cream.
She’s been wanting a sister so badly.
Well, with another kid coming, our vehicle is short one seat, so Laun fixed that tonight. He installed a back row in my Tahoe and Marlee was excited about that, too. It’a like her perfect day! And I love that Laun can do anything. When we bought the Tahoe it only seated 5 and Laun put in a front middle seat, so it could fit 6 and now it fits 9. It will be perfect for carpooling and when company comes, like my parents next month.
Carter got an ear infection a week ago. He seemed better and then last night he came down with a fever and was pointing to his ears saying ow. I took him to the doctor (again) today to see if maybe the ammoxicillan wasn’t working, but his ears looked great, so he just has some type of bug.
As you can see from that ballerinia stance, it’s clear that feet brace are needed. He was actually supposed to go to Shriner’s today to get his braces, but with his fever, I rescheduled.
He’s been grumpy all day, even the kids asked why he was so upset. I probably didn’t handle it as well, with Laun being out of town. Why does it seem like kids always get sick or grumpy when they know you are playing “single parent”-ugh! It also doesn’t help that he’s obsessed with Laun and he’s been out of town lately. Oh well, we are all still alive. Hopefully tomorrow’s better or I might pull my hair out and I don’t have a lot. We will all be happy to see Laun and maybe I’ll take a vacation to Hawaii, kid free (I wish). I really do love being a mom, somedays are just harder than others. For little people and adults. Vent over.
His hip must be felling better, because he’s back to his shenanigans.
I love how all the kids put up with Carter crawling all over them and squezzing his way in to watch the movie.
Uncle Brent plans a yearly fishing trip with all the boys in his family to Green River. He’s so kind and invited Laun and his brother Brandon to bring their boys along. This is the second year that Laun has taken the boys and they had a great trip. They took off some school and were gone from Thursday-Saturday.

Clayton got the biggest fish at 22 inches long and he was happy.
Laun is such a great dad, I love that he spends time with his kids. What a great boy trip. And that he took all these wonderful photos!

In our last ward I visiting taught this lady and since then we’ve both moved out of the stake. She is a waitress on Saturday’s at a restaraunt in Orem, called Callie’s Cafe. I finally got to go there for breakfast this morning. I’m pretty sure going out for breakfast is one of my favorite things, probably because it is such a rarity and I love breakfast foods. Plus, it helps to pass the time before Laun and the boys get back from their trip. The food was yummy and I want to go back some day with the rest of my family.
Tonight was the SFHS basketball game and Carter and I went to cheer Marlee on as she cheered during half time. Laun and the big boys are out of town, so it was just the 3 of us.
She’s trying to turn Carter’s head to look at the camera.
Marlee & Brighton- getting excited for thier performance. Part of mini cheer camp was these t-shirts and pom-poms.
A sea of girls with the HS cheerleaders.
Marlee is towards the left side, with the pink tennis shoes, jumping. She loved it.
She had so much fun being around the cheerleaders and her friend.
We watched the rest of the basketball game and SF got creamed. Marlee said that the opposing team, Payson, was cheating, haha.
I tried getting some pictures of Carter’s incision tonight, which is hard, since he moves so much.
It’s healing pretty well and the bruising/redness is almost gone. You can still see his stitches sticking out, can’t wait till they dissolve and come off.
The worst part of Laun being out of town is sleeping alone. I miss that man.
