fun filled day

Today we went to Lisa’s house & the boys swam with lots of their cousins. Lucy, Kami, Lisa, Janae & Koni all came with their kids. My best friend Julie & her daughter came, too.

Clayton threw a huge fit because he didn’t want to leave. He fell asleep 30 minutes later…I think someone was tired. He doesn’t want to leave his cousins, he has had so many sleepovers lately.

I am getting stronger from the physical therapy.

Memorial Day

Today we went to the Mecham family get together. On the way home we stopped by McDonalds.

Clayton is sleeping over at Pearce’s house tonight, but Porter is here with me at my parents house. I don’t think Porter wants to leave my side & I am happy with that. I am glad that Clayton is having so much fun with his cousind though. Laun had to head back to Show Low, so sad.

Laun is here & I am so excited to see him! We went to Jonathan’s farewell today. Clayton is back from Janae’s & it is so great to have the whole family together.

t's been 6 days since my total right hip replacement. I only have to wear these attractive thigh highs for about another week or so, to prevent getting blood clots. And have about 8 weeks of physical therapy in store. I am very thankful to live in a time where technology and medical advances have been made. I am thankful for Dr. Maltry and all those that work with him, who made this titanium hip possible. It is so great to not have my hip be bone to bone anymore, or deal with daily arthritis pain. I feel as if I have been given a second chance at life, and for that I am thankful to God.

I am healing at my moms house & she is such a great nurse (she has had lots of practice). Isn’t my incision lovely…nothing like looking at staples, in your skin.

I miss my family

Laun headed back to Show Low for work. I will miss him. Porter came to see me today, but Clayton is staying at Janae’s house. I was happy to see Porter, he missed me. I love that boy. My poor boys have had a lot of time away from me with all these surgeries this year. I have to do physical therapy 3 times a day. The physical therapist comes everyday to help me. I am thankful for all my family that is helping us out during this time.

Today I got released from the hospital. Laun took me to my mom’s house & spent the night. I will stay at my parent’s house for a bit, since Laun has to get back to work in Show Low& I need someone to help take care of me.

Second surgery for the year

I had my c-section exactly 2 months ago & today I went in & had a total right hip replacement. I am on a roll this year. Dr. Maltry did the surgery this morning at NMC hospital in Tucson, AZ. I was nervous & cried a little before the surgery. I fell asleep with Laun holding my hand & woke up in my hospital room, post surgery. I was a little sick today, but all went well. I now have a titanium right hip! No more arthritis! My right leg was also lengthened, so it is similar in length to the left leg now. I also got the pins taken out of my left hip that have been bugging me. I am so excited & I hurt less already! Laun stayed in a hotel tonight & I of course kicked it in the hospital. Lucy is watching the boys for us.

loving being with cousins

I think Clayton will be sad to go back to Tucson when the summer is over. He is loving being with his cousins. He would love to live in Show Low forever.

Today was Cooper’s due date & to think he has already come & gone. I wish I was having him today & that he was healthy.

I think Porter is baby hungry-

I feel for my boys. They should have a little baby brother to hold, but he’s gone to heaven.

I think Kalli will be loved on plenty. Porter loves on her any chance he gets.

Today we went on another fun day outing with Ryan and his girls. This time it was a fishing trip.

4 wheelin' trip

We went on a very long 4 wheeling trip today, with Ryan and his daughters. We had a great time. Kalli is so little that she had to ride in her infant seat strapped to the 4 wheeler, she is so lucky that she has such a fun dad.

Alissa, Clayton, and Porter had a great time playing and finding creatures.

We moved into Ryan & Kami’s house tonight. Laun is working for Gary Hunter this summer, so we will be here all summer. Laun will be helping on Gary’s cabin property.

The boys helped Grandpa Turley paint tree trunks white today, to protect the bark. I am so happy that they are blessed with so many great family members that love and teach them.
