Laun, Clayton and Porter met up with the Johnson guys and did some fishing at Green River.

so proud my heart could burst!!!!
The school spelling bee is finally here and let me tell you, Porter is ready…to win that is!
He is speller number 12.
He’s looking serious, or he’s just irritated by someone sitting nearby:)
The spellers got fewer and fewer.
I love when Porter gets that grin on his face when he’s nervous/excited.
And the winner of the Canyon Elementary 2015 spelling bee is…
We are so proud of Porter and all the studying he did to accomplish this goal. And a shout out to Aunt Tressa for all her help quizzing him.
1st & 2nd place- these kids sure worked hard!
We took Porter out for lunch to celebrate. He picked a shrimp burrito. They even threw in a dessert- cinnamon tortilla with ice cream.
And Clayton kindly babysat Carter, so Laun and I could go to Porter’s spelling bee.

what a day
Laun’s been growing some greens for our smoothies.
This kid is always happier when he naps.
I made myself a goal chart…now I just need to have the goal to follow it:)
First time I’ve ever made the chicken and waffles combo.
Laun took the boys to the store for some treats. I’m in love of this picture with Carter- just gripping on to that Martenelli’s jug.
The boys pick out the grossest treats (that’s my opinion), which is great because I won’t be tempted to eat their sugar.
Porter has been practicing for the upcoming school spelling bee and I’m pretty sure he’s going to nail it. He goes over the words with me and even over the phone with Aunt Tressa (we emailed her a copy of words). Here’s Porter on the phone with Aunt Tressa, spelling words while hula hooping.
These are some of his crazy words and he can spell them all!!!

my boys
Carter loves to peek outside.
It made me so happy to see him getting up on his knees.
Porter and I went on a mom & son date. We went to Magleby’s for dessert. I got chocolate cake and Porter got buttermilk pie- it was so good. I love spending one on one time with my kids.
I’m so proud of Clayton and Porter, they got straight A’s this quarter! Porter’s school does E’s instead of A’s.

Ice Castles
I put Jamberry nails on Marlee today. They were really cute, until she pulled them off several hours later!
We went to the Ice Castles in Midway with some of the Johnson families. Andrea’s son works there, so we got to go to family night. It was really cool, but they have to shut down, since it’s a warm winter and the castles are melting. I guess last years was way bigger.
There was some ice slides.
This slide was fun and you could get going pretty fast.
There was a tunnel for little's.
I see the moon.
The kids huddled around the fire trying to keep warm.
The night ended with Carter snuggles.
