raspberry pickin’
Laun has been feeding the cows and horses for school this weekend, so just the boys and I went to pick raspberries in Preston. We got red and golden berries, too bad the pictures aren’t in color.

preschool fieldtrip
Today I got to go with Porter on his fieldtrip to the mountains. They’ve been learning about the outdoors, so they went on a nature walk. Porter loved riding on the school bus. He had such a big smile on his face. I am so happy to volunteer in my boys classrooms.
Tonight Jared Hall’s family was in town, so we joined them along with Lew and Diane Westover for dinner and ice cream at Caspers. The boys had fun playing with their cousins.

gummy snakes
I found these super long gummy snakes that put gummy bears to shame:) Too bad the picture is in black & white! They are white & colored stripes. The boys loved them.

grazing
Laun put the horses in the side yard to eat…they are tied up, but the rope can slide back & forth so they can walk around.

Thermopolis, Wyoming
We met up with Ryan & Jared in Thermopolis, Wyoming for a horse auction. Last night we stayed in a hotel & the great part was that there was a pool & the bad part was that there was a pool. The kids had fun swimming, but on the downside, my phone fell in the pool. Oh well, hopefully it will dry out & work again.
Today I took the boys around the city because there was no way I was going to last the entire day at a horse auction.
First we went to the Wyoming Dinosaur Museum.
Then we went to the Old West Wax Museum.
I’ll be honest, wax people kind of creep me out.
We also found a cool park.
Finally, we headed to the horse rodeo & met up with the guys.
Some kid picked on Porter for being short/little & Clayton flat put that kid in his place. Don’t mess with big brother:)

On a side note, Mike Hall (Laun’s father) served part of his mission in this city.

resting place
We live in Ezra Taft Benson’s childhood home & not too far away is the cemetery where he and his wife are buried. The headstone is beautiful.

weeds is an understatement…
There are some crazy weeds in our yard.
Not sure if a mower really should go through weeds this tall?

The boys were a little sad about the weeds being mowed down, since it was home to so many bugs.
Clayton is armed and ready to catch some bugs.
Earlier today I volunteered at Porter’s preschool, it was fun to see him in the classroom and with friends. After all the yard work we headed to the library and to dinner at Pizza Stop. Pizza Stop will be one of our new favorite places, their pizza and breadsticks were so good.
