out n’ about
cutest baby girl
When you take 2 littles to Costco, it’s best to take a big kid, too. They come in handy, to hold a baby and such. Carter looks angelic in this picture, don't let that sweet face fool you.
Porter & Clayton earned a pile of merit badges.
Everyone loves snuggles with the baby. She’s so lucky to have all these older siblings who adore her.

the littles
Laun’s uncles 4 wheelers are at our house and Carter likes to go sit on them.
Sydney is loving the ergo carrier, she falls asleep and is happy as can be and I can be “hands free”.

growin’
Laun’s garden is doing awesome.
These little babies fill my day and I have to remember that even though I don’t feel like I get a lot done, they’re what I’m meant to have time for. They are my joy.

2016-17 school year
Since I was gone yesterday and so was Porter, I had the kids get back to school pics today.
The boys are both at Spanish Fork Junior High School again this year. Utah does high school from 10th to 12th grade, instead of 9-12 like AZ. So he’s a high school student and is a freshmen, but it sort of doesn't feel like it. The upside, he can play high school sports and he and Porter get to be at the school again, which is nice since we haven't bought a home yet, so even if we move out of district, he's not at a new school this year.
Clayton- 9th grade
Porter- 8th grade
Marlee 2nd grade, with Mrs. Cranmer
Our family school theme this year is…Be Happy!
It makes me happy seeing my boys walk to and from school together. I love living right down the street from the junior high.
And it makes Carter happy to have more alone time with mom and make cookies.

today was better
Clayton and Marlee had their first day of the school year. Porter had an appointment at Shriners, so he missed the first day. I was a little sad to miss the kids leaving for school today, but thankfully Laun was there. He text me this cute picture of Marlee.
Carter had 2 appointments in Salt Lake. The first early in the morning at Primary Children’s hospital for a cat scan of his hips. He had to fast for this one in case he wouldn’t stay still and they had to medicate him, but he did so good and stayed still, so he got to stay awake for the procedure. I was so proud of him and it made the cat scan super fast.
Then we headed to the cafeteria because this boy was hungry. Porter even went and got him more bacon because he loved it. It’s been fun and helpful having Porter with me, especially when I’m feeding Sydney.
Porter got his orthotics back and fitted and then got to go hang out upstairs while we had Carter’s appointment.
Carter got new foot braces and they have superman on them and he also got new shoes that were big enough to fit his new braces. His cat scan results were better than we hoped. The right hip looks good and won’t need to be operated on! The left hip is in, but not as deep as she’d like and the socket needs surgery to fix it and create a better hip. The surgery needs to be anytime between October- December. I think I’m going to leave October alone, so he can enjoy Halloween. We will plan on November.
He was cracking me up with all his funny faces he was making in the mirror, this reminds me so much of Porter.
And he must be pretty happy about his new braces and shoes, look at that grin!
He seems to have let go of all his nerves when he comes here. He did everything with no fear today. I thought him getting his height taken was adorable. How’d we ever live without this kid!
Porter was a huge help today and I’m so glad he came. A kid wanted him to help him with the Wii, so he showed the boy and his mother how it worked and she was so thankful. I loved seeing him play with the kid and another patient, who he even exchanged phone numbers with. I sure love this kid of mine. On the way home we stopped by some stores for him, but the littles were sleeping, so he ran in with my card and did his own shopping. It’s so fun having older kids.
Cute superman braces…

We got home super late, it’s one of those trips where you're so happy to be out of the vehicle.

spoiled rotten
My oldest kids might say I spoil the younger ones, but they spoil them, too!
This tiny anchor pencil skirt from Aunt Nae Nae is too cute.
I took all the kids to the mall, except for Clayton. We aren’t really mall shoppers, so they all thought these big “car like” animals were pretty cool. Carter really wanted to ride the bull & I said no, because it’s kind of pricey and then came the begging (not from him, from his older siblings). They told me that they would pay, but he just had to ride it, haha. So those 3 had a great time riding a bull around the mall.
And then we ate at Red Robin, where I tried eating, while nursing a baby, helping Carter eat and keep Porter and Marlee from being too crazy. How do moms do it? We must have super powers, because it’s not super patience, at least not for me!
Spoiled Rotten (which is a term of endearment in our home) asleep with a massager on his back on the couch, yup, being spoiled rotten is exhausting.
And the other rotten snuggled into daddy.
