chewy caramel popcorn

We have this tradition where we often have popcorn on Sunday night.

One of our favorite popcorn recipes is…

Chewy Caramel Popcorn

10 cups of freshly popped popcorn

1 cup of butter

½ cup of white sugar

½ cup of brown sugar

2 cups of miniature marshmallows

1 tsp. of vanilla

 

Prepare popcorn and remove all kernels, put in a large bowl.

In sauce pan melt the butter, sugars and marshmallows on medium heat until boiling.

Boil for 3 minutes and stir constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

Pour caramel over popcorn in the bowl and stir to coat evenly.

Andy’s work

Tonight Andy and I took pictures of the fossils he’s been working on.

Andy and Laun moved this huge piece out of the workspace so we could get some pictures of it. At least one rib fell during this process. If I was Andy I would’ve had a heart attack, but he said it’s an easier piece to fix.

Thanks to Laun for watching this little cutie and the other kiddos, otherwise I wouldn’t have been much help to Andy.

Marlee’s backpack got a hole in it, so we went to get a new one and she picked out this leopard one because it had “freckles”.

dental work

Marlee had to get some dental work done today…a crown, as a 5 year old! She gets pretty nervous at the dentist, so thankfully they gave her something to calm her nerves.

And Carter kept me company, looking cute as ever.

Laun wanted to give Carter a bath (in Grandma Hall’s old bread bowl).

At first he wasn’t so sure about this idea, but he sure looks relaxed:

After his bath, he fell sound asleep in his swing.
