Porter is 10!!!

The birthday boy asked for crepes for breakfast- this is the most common request.

We probably have around 30 cream cows now, so Porter had lots to choose from.

They sure love this birthday tradition.

Here’s what my crepe looks like and…

He had his birthday lunch with Dad yesterday at Sushi Ten.

Before Porter started eating sushi…

And after he ate sushi…(I’m guessing he’s full)

For dinner he requested adabada (pork tacos).

He was lucky enough to have Richard’s family in town visiting and we also invited Andy’s family over  for dinner.

Instead of cake he wanted pavlova’s, which are similar to meringue. I used a recipe from a lady who used to be in our ward. She’d make them for ward parties and Porter’s been asking me to make them ever since. This is the first time I’ve ever made them and it wont be the last. They were so good. I’m pretty much a sucker for anything with fresh whipped cream and berries though…and chocolate doesn’t hurt either. They are crunchy and chewy all at the same time.

Our kids either get 40 dollars cash from us or 40 dollars worth of presents on their birthdays. Porter picked the cash and then his Turley Grandparents and Grandma Lucy each gave him 20 bucks, so he was pretty happy to get 80 dollars all together.

And he got some birthday pajamas.
