It’s crazy hair day at the Junior High…Clayton went for orange hair.

Carter met with the orthopedic doctor again today and his left hip is very dislocated (right is great though), so they are using a soft harness (the Palvlik Harness) in hopes that his hip will go back in. His case is pretty bad, so we shall see in around 3 weeks if it worked. The bummer is he has to wear it day and night and can only be out of it for 10 minutes a day, so basically to bathe. You can tell from the picture how his right hip goes out in a “froggy” position, which is good and the left doesn’t really, which isn’t good. Once they put him in the brace it was pretty obvious how different his legs lay. Luckily, you can change his diapers without having to undo the harness, but it makes it a little difficult. The green lines show me where the straps need to go when he has it off for bathing, so I don’t forget. I sure hope he does okay. With my genes I worry a little. As my sister Laura says, “Your genes are running strong in this kid.” Since he is our only light skinned kid (like me) and has a dislocated hip (we know where he got that from and it wasn’t Laun).

Clayton and Carter sleeping, so sweet. Clayton’s going to be an amazing daddy someday.
