Today Richard’s family headed out. It was great spending some time with them.
Jared’s family came to Tucson today and got to meet Carter.
Porter gave Carter his first bottle today, he did pretty good.
We went to Costco for lunch and then picked up hay.

Then we stopped by the ostrich farm. It’s been a long time since we’ve gone.
Think of the strangest way you can feed animals and that pretty much sums up this place.
By chance Laun’s cousin Mutt and some of his boys were there.
Clayton lucked out and got to spend some time with his two favorite cousins: Pearce and Cannen.
Canned had food on his hat for the ostrich to eat.
Jared talking ostrich
Then we road on the monster truck.
An ostrich getting ready to sit on the eggs.
Ostrich eggs are huge! The tour lady stood on an egg, so we could see how tough they are.
Some unique cacti:
The lady showed us a rattler.
This is nothing new for my kiddos, they skin these things.
Marlee feeling the snake skin.
Then we fished for ostrich…which means we used the “fishing poles” to feed them orange slices.
I was so disappointed that we didn’t get a picture of all of us standing near the monster truck so you could see how huge it was. When we left the lady had already put it away, so I added some pictures from their website http://www.roostercogburn.com/monstertrucks.asp, so the kids can remember how big the monster truck was.

Then for my favorite part- feeding the birds nectar.
Lisa and Shelby were pretty entertaining…
love that grin
The birds also like sitting on heads.
more birds
Then we went to Peter Piper Pizza for dinner for Porter’s soccer team party. Porter got a huge team picture and a sweet soccer bag. This is the only picture I got- Carter being held by Belen.
And Lucy sent this adorable blanket for Carter. I love it. This kid has gotten spoiled.
