Every baby of mine (except for Cooper) has gotten thrush. It’s a yeast infection and it’s a pain to get rid of. The antibiotic never seems to work, so I use something called Gentian Violet. It’s a dark purple dye that kills bacteria. You just take a q-tip and lightly apply inside your babies mouth. The upside it works, the downside…your baby’s mouth is purple for days.

From this angle everything looks normal…

And then you see that cute (purple) face…

Even Carter’s like, what the heck?!

And then he puts his fingers in his mouth and the purple spreads…

The older kids thought the purple mouth was pretty fun.

And I guess Carter does, too;)

Even taking a bath won’t take it all off.
