Mt. Lemmon with the Turley clan

We had a sweet camping trip at Mt. Lemmon with my brother Andrew’s family.

We got to a spot in the dark and in the rain. I guess the good thing about it raining is that everyone sets up camp real quick. And I sort of got a free pass, since I just sat in the truck and nursed Carter.

Marlee’s face says pure joy. She loves hanging out with her cousins.

Lucky for us the rain died down for awhile and we could hang out around the campfire before going to bed.

Today started out right, perfect weather and breakfast burritos.

We went on a drive…

It was a really rough trail, with some sweet views.

Love the fluffy tops on this desert plant.

The grape vines are crazy huge…everyone is just standing on them.

Then we went to a pond…

The dogs “willingly” got in the water.

It seemed like every time Porter was about to catch a water snake all the dogs would come running and scare it away. Porter was not happy about it.

Porter finally just got in the water, there was no way he wasn’t catching that snake.

Back at camp-

Laun is a great cook- We had Steak, chicken, potatoes and corn.

He’s also smart, he just foiled the whole card table and stuck all the food on it.

The kids made their own little camp fire.

It’s no wonder Laun is such a loved Uncle…he made a gunny sack swing for the kids and they loved it.

When we started packing up it rained again. Josiah and Marlee were smart to find a dry spot.

On the drive out we stopped to sample the prickly pear…

The scenery was so green today, just beautiful.

Happy camper on the drive home.

I think we wore this baby out today.
