Laun took his comps (tests for Grad school) all this week & it was the last day of Spring Break, so we decided it was time to take the fishing boat out. The kids were super excited & Patagonia Lake is only an hour and a half away from our house.
Our dog Raggle’s even got to come.
Raggles jumped off the boat into the water right away…which resulted in us having to tie her leash to some item in the boat. Then she shook off on all of us & shivered like a leaf.
Marlee was so excited last night to pick out a pink princess fishing pole. Laun & I like that it has a rubber fish on the end so she can practice her casting without hooking anyone:)
We tried out both motors today.
Clayton is getting so grown up & is such a big help. He is helping Laun tie the boat to shore.
His scar actually looks worse lately- darker, puffier & wider. Hopefully that is just part of the healing process. It used to be so much skinnier & flatter. Thank goodness he’s a boy.
I had one of my favorite drinks today…reminds me of a Spring Break trip with some girlfriends in high school.
Raggles had the time of her life today.
fishing
I tried laying down on the boat bench to relax, but Raggle’s decided to sit on me.
We saw lots of birds & Raggle’s is pretty sure she’s a bird dog.
Marlee likes to give Raggles a little too much attention.
We got out of the boat to take a walk & play in the water.
I can’t believe how tall Clayton is getting!!!
Daddy’s girl
gone fishin’
The kids all braved the cold water.
Porter brought his snowboard hoping to use it as a boogie board. It didn’t quite work, but they had fun.
Is it bad that one of my favorite pictures of the day is with Marlee just in her undies & a life jacket & Porter with his swimsuit on backwards? I love how cute these two are together, especially when they get along.
Jumping in!!!
Not a single fish was caught today.
Enjoying some popcorn on the boat drive back.
Can you see me in Laun’s sunglasses?
Going under the bridge.
We stopped at the little market on the way out.
These Key Lime mallows were really good.
Then we headed over to Sonoita for dinner at the Steak Out.
Marlee thought wearing the paper bag menu as a a hat was a good idea.
They have live singing in the evenings.
On the way home we saw a lot of antelope.
This day trip was a great way to end Spring Break.

So many great pictures I don't even know where to begin! Did not know there were antelope in AZ...does that make me ignorant or just dumb? Love all the pictures of the snow sled and jumping in the water. Porter always has the best face expressions. Raggles cracks me up. Love that her hair is growing and it looks so cute all curly. Marlee and her Daddy are such a cute pair. Finally, Love the Teva pic.
