Our California Reunion is coming to an end, but first Laun had to take Clayton to the Puma store (since there’s not one near us, to get him some new kicks) and Clayton must have liked his new phones because there was a bunch of pictures like these on the phone…
So in California there’s these fish called grunion. They only come out to shore certain times of the year and at night/early morning. Several of us stayed up past midnight one night and they never came:( So Laun, being determined, went out the last night while the rest of us were sleeping and took this picture of a grunion he caught at 12:41am. When the boys woke up he told them all about it.
On our way out of California we stopped for some donuts. It took us awhile to find a donut shop open in the morning…isn’t that when they should be open? It must be a CA thing to sleep in and open late.
Carter fell asleep with his donut in hand.
We were sick of driving, so we decided to stay the night in St. George & break up our traveling. A hotel relaxation is just what Carter needed.
Then we headed to the indoor pool.
And to the Iceberg for dinner & cones.
Carter was happy to be back in the land of fry sauce.
Then we headed to the outdoor pool.
And back to iceberg for shakes…it felt like déjà vu.
Then we kicked it and enjoyed being out of the truck.
This morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then we watched sacrament on TV…Utah is awesome like that. Then we drove to see the St. George Temple.
Today is Father’s Day & what a great picture to remember it by.
It was crazy when we got home, but I managed to pull off a great Father’s Day dinner (last night while Laun and Carter were asleep the kids & I went grocery shopping for his food).
Father’s Day dinner- Homemade cordon blue, mashed potatoes w/ mushrooms and broccoli. Dessert was store bought key lime pie and it was good.
