Laun was in China for a week for school/work. We picked him up from the Phoenix airport around noon. He didn’t know we were coming into get him, he was just going to come out & meet us in the truck. None of us could wait a minute longer to see him, so we surprised him.
Porter & Clayton waiting to see Daddy.
It’s too bad the kids weren’t very excited…not, they pretty much tackled him.
Marlee yelled out Daddy & ran into his arms- so sweet.
All back together!!!
Laun got plenty of help with his luggage.
We went back to my parents house & the kids were so excited for Laun to crack open his suitcase of goodies.
The boys got some shirts- I couldn’t tell you what they say though.
Laun brought home some interesting snacks, you know, like gizzard, duck tongue-the regulars.
Yao sent the kids some watches & gave Laun & I each some awesome pj pants.
Laun got Marlee a silky scarf.
Laun got some of his own gifts from the people he helped in China.
Laun got me lots of great gifts: a scarf, a cook book (luckily it is in Chinese & English), a roller & black pearl earrings. He also brought home a set of chopsticks for our family.
He got the kids these marble rocks that look like eggs from Three Gorge Dam.
The treats are interesting, they aren’t very sweet.
Laun gave my dad a nice set of chopsticks & my mom a fan.
Marlee with her China toothbrush & toothpaste.
I think Marlee is going to use her scarf as more of a blanky.
Still not sure exactly what this stuff in the bag is?
Laun showed us the pictures he took in China from his trip.
We are so glad to have Laun back in the United States! And then Laun’s jet lag really sank in & he went to sleep for a very long time.
