Tucson to Phoenix
Poor Amelia (Andy & Elizabeth's dog), she got plenty of attention from Syd (including hair pulling), she loves dogs!
We lived in this home longer then we lived anywhere else, just shy of 5 years! Laun finished his masters & doctorate degrees, while I got my associates. I was primary president for 3 years, while babysitting twins (around Marlee’s age) for a year. Jonathan, Laun’s younger brother, lived with us for 1 year, it was a full house! I had a miscarriage, valley fever & pneumonia, & Laun had 2 surgeries (back & ankle). Clayton got a huge cut, which required plenty of stitches. Our kids grew & grew & Marlee started Kindergarten right before we moved. We got our dog Raggles (who now has loving new owners in Show Low, since our rental doesn’t allow dogs), from the pound, who helped me get over my fear of being home alone, when Laun traveled for work. She was our best dog! We had several pets, many dogs, lizards, rabbits, birds, etc. We had Carter here, the best memory of all! A lot of hard & good times happened to our family while living here. And we met some wonderful neighbors, who became our friends.
We had to stop by Trader Joe’s, we would go there for fun treats & there isn’t one near us now. We love their meringues, peppermint Jo-Jo’s & cinnamon dusted cheese.
Sydney met Yao, he went to school with Laun. And he also went on our Grand Canyon trip, when we lived there.
We went to lunch with the Collier’s & Yao.
Yao has always been so great to our kids.
We drove by the Tucson Temple, wish it was during the open house, but it’s not quite done yet! I love that blue dome & can’t wait to see the inside someday.
We stopped by our old neighbor’s home, the Petersons. We got to see Joyce & her son Jacob & had a great visit.
Jacob has gotten so tall! These boys picked up right where they left off. They have spent hours & hours together playing pool, Legos, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, etc. They even did some soccer & scouts together. Joyce told me after we moved that Jacob missed the boys so much, that he asked to go to our church one Sunday, to remind him of them. They are Jewish, not Mormon & I thought that was so sweet. They did come years ago to one of the boys primary program & Jacob had lots of questions for his mom & he did scouts for a year with them.
Around our old neighborhood was this home with crazy details and art on their fence, the boys really wanted us to drive by.
Today
The morning at the Turley’s home-
Then we met up with Bob & Jayne Collier, we bought their camper from them! They gave us a crazy good deal.
Then we drove to Phoenix to see my family. My sister Rachel & I have babies close together, I think 4 months apart…Sydney & Emily.
Carter was more than happy to be done driving & our playing with cousins.
Carter & Tucker- 3 months apart, exactly!
Ted, Rachel, me, mom, Laura & dad
