on the mend

Clayton got his stiches two days ago. The first day-night was rough, he barely slept at all. I was happy that he slept well last night. In fact, I went in this morning to wake him & give him a cracker to eat so he could take his pain medicine & antibiotic. I came back in to find the cracker on the bed & Clayton fast asleep. I am so thankful that he is finally getting some rest & that he is past the worst of it.
