First off, I want to express my gratitude for Laun and his commitment and honor to the priesthood, to be able to bless our 6th baby.
And second, I’m thankful for those who came today…Lucy, the Larsen’s, the Johnsons and Brandon Hall’s family.
Thirdly, I’m especially happy that Laun had men in the circle with him while he blessed our sweet baby. He blessed Cooper in the NICU all by himself, with me there to listen and both of us knowing Cooper was dying, so baby blessings are emotional for me.
And last but not least, I’m grateful for my mother sewing Sydney’s sweet blessing dress, that was made to be similar to Marlee’s dress, only shorter.
Laun gave a beautiful baby blessing to Sydney Rose, here are some of the things he mentioned:
-Throughout the difficulties of life, have the ability to look towards the light & see your Father in Heaven and his plan for you and the way to happiness and peace.
-You have a family that loves and supports you, both on this earth and those who aren't present at this time.
-Blessing of calmness and love to help those around you.
-A desire/strength to choose the right, be a friend and a comfort to those around you and a positive example.
-An opportunity to serve a mission and be married in the temple to your eternal companion.
Sydney is so loved by so many people. It’s kind of fun with the Hall family, because most of the siblings have been done having children for awhile, so Carter and Sydney are very enjoyed, plus, the Hall’s love babies so much.
It’s hard to fit all that dress in a car seat.
We got matching Thailand shirts from our friend Sunthorn’s wife, we finally busted them out today.
I started taking a photo shoot of Sydney and of course Carter joined in.

We needed plenty with the sisters.
And cousin Brooks thinks Sydney is pretty cute, too.
Porter loves this little one.
I love the dress my mom made and I’m pretty sure this afghan was made for Carter a couple years ago, by sister Jenkins.

We had some lunch made by Laun. Smoked pork sandwiches and beans.
Lucy surprised us and flew in this morning.

All this attention makes one sleepy girl.
We are so grateful for our tiny Rose, she has brought joy and happiness into our home and we all adore her. How did we ever live without her!
