We met up at Peter Piper Pizza with Deb Smith and her daughter Hope. We visited while the kids played. The Smith’s are moving. We will miss them, but I’m so happy for them.

today’s happenings
There are so many reddish hue pictures of Carter, since our curtains are red. He may look sunburned, but he’s not.
Today was Marlee’s last day of preschool.
Dropping her off…
Wearing the cute shirt she made.
They had all the parents came and the kids sang and they had cake.
Marlee with her teachers:
Too bad Brigden isn’t in this picture, these kiddos are from our mom preschool group we did the year before, so they’ve been doing preschool together for 2 years. They are all in the same ward.
Haley, Ben and Marlee
We meet up with a guy and sold him some quail.
Porter is pretty excited about the $20 earned.

schools out for summer!
This morning was the 5th grade graduation. The elementary school here only goes up to 5th grade, so Porter will be in junior high next year, which is 6-8th grade!
They had every student walk across the stage to shake hands and get their certificate.
Carter wasn’t too impressed…I had to leave the room several times with him, once to change his diaper and the other times because he got too noisy.
All the 5th graders sang a song together. Porter was pretty excited to sing the song…he’s in the front row, center with the red shirt. Unfortunately I only video taped the very beginning because after that I had to take Carter out.
The handsome graduate.
I think it’s cute that they gave all the students flowers to wear.
Porter and his homeroom teacher Mrs. Taylor.
They had cookies and punch and then a water party to end the day.
I picked up Marlee and Clayton and then we took some quail to Porter’s school. Our kids had so much fun teaching a crowd of fifth graders all about quail.
Porter left with a handful of classmates numbers who want to buy some quail. In fact, we are meeting up with one of them tomorrow for a sale:)
handsome boys
We are all pretty happy that summer break has begun (Marlee still has one more day of preschool, but that’s it).
Now there will be siblings home all day to love on this baby:
Clayton’s Shark poem:
Some of Porter’s school work:
This is why I think traditions are a big deal:
Laun made an amazing meatball dinner.
And I am so excited to not set an alarm clock for awhile and to not be running back and forth all day driving kids to school.

family walk
Laun and I have really been missing our gym memberships, but since we are moving after the summer, we didn’t see the point in signing up again. So we really need to get out and exercise more. Tonight we did the river walk.
And no, that’s not a sandy beach shore they are sitting on (I wish), that’s just the river wash bottom. Hopefully, we will get good monsoons this summer and the wash will be full.

family day
It was nice to spend Sunday together as a family, since the beginning of the weekend I was in Phoenix with the younger two and Laun was with the older boys camping.
Carter loves shower time:
Carter sported his vest to church today that my cousin Alicia sewed.
After church we had popcorn, a Sunday favorite.
It’s getting hard to fit all of us on this queen size bed.
We went to the park and fed the ducks, took a walk and played catch.
I was impressed with the boys, they did a good job catching and throwing, especially since they hardly ever play. I even played…it’s been forever. The last time I played catch with Laun I caught the ball with my lip instead of my glove, I’ve kind of been a little nervous to play since then.
Love this happy baby.
