starting the day out early, again

These boys have been waking up early in the mornings to look for elk, with no luck so far.

These two cuties look tired this morning, even though they weren’t up before 6 am like their big brothers.

I had to take Laun to pick some apples, because they were so good and we wanted more. Carter had no complaints about going again.

Lucy took us to a tortilla shop her friend owns, we bought some corn and flour tortillas to try out.

We went back to Ryan’s and took a Ranger ride, but first we took some mom and Carter selfies.

Carter was certain he should be the driver.

I love how Carter is eyeing Laun’s apple.

We ended our drive by the pond where kids are endlessly riding the paddle boat.

We had a cookout tonight…

Laun asked Jeff to make biscuits.

And Lucy made peach and blueberry cobbler topped with ice cream, so good.

Carter is so lucky to have Jennette as an Aunt, she is fabulous!

I adore watching Laun with our kids, he is amazing.

We had a fireside for FHE and Jared shared a great message. He talked about different General Conference talks and I was so proud of Clayton and Porter for nailing so many of Jared’s questions. Those boys impress me all the time. They will be fabulous missionaries.

family time

We went to the Pinedale Cemetery with John and Jennette. I have got to read up on family history to find out more about so many family members who have passed on.

Carter met the Larsen’s goose:

Marlee wasn’t too sure about it.

Then we went to Jared and Lisa’s to visit.

Carter got plenty of attention.

And Carter is usually not a fan of many other adults besides Laun and I, so we were shocked by how he snuggled right into Jared. So sweet. Carter is wearing moose pajamas that my sister Laura made for Clayton when he was a baby!

Jared gave Laun a pretty sweet graduation present, a .17 caliber gun.
