Cinco de Mayo!

Carter does a lot of things different-

Like sleeping, on his side in a body cast…

or eating with the plate to his face.

Luckily, I remembered before dinner that today is Cinco de Mayo!

We visited a carniceria and got some carne asada meat and some goat milk suckers.

Marlee’s learning how to ride a bike with Laun and Porter’s help. 

She had some falls, but big brother was there to pick her up.

Dinner- carne asadas!

Carter loved the guacamole, but it sure made his body cast a mess!

Marlee tried bike riding again after she fueled up and changed outfits (a habit of hers) and did great.

Porter is getting pretty good on the rip stick.

We went to the track to walk/run.

We came home to my homemade flan.

Tonight a huge moth flew in the house and Carter was so intrigued with it.

We ate Porter’s Cornish hen tonight. Porter even ate the heart.

Sunday drive

We took a drive up Payson Canyon today. Laun’s dad used to take Sunday drives up this canyon and its cool that we are doing the same thing.

Apparently sliding down dirt mountains is fun.

Marlee’s a little climber, even in just a shirt and underwear.

I love seeing my kids help each other, since that isn’t always the case.

Marlee got her clothes so wet, that now she’s just in underwear and a coat.

I love seeing bare feet.

Carter thinks dandelions are pretty fun.

I love how new and exciting everything is to a little one.

We came home and had breakfast for dinner.

Marlee’s powder sugar looks like make up-love this cute girl.

I love Saturdays

We took Carter to Cabela’s to see the fish and he loved it.

Then we picked up Grandma Black and took her to lunch.

In case you can’t tell…she loves Laun.

As if we didn’t eat enough, we went to the Red Barn for ice cream and some other goodies. I love how Porter and Marlee are sharing, it’s a must to try every flavor you can.

Carter was a cute mess.

Porter bought a rip stick and pretty much practiced the rest of the day.

Big sisters are the best, they think you should wear shoes even when your in a body cast.

I love the wear marks on his cast.

Reading with Carter can be difficult, but wonderful.

Clayton had a track meet today. Go Lobos!

Track meets put Carter to sleep.

Clayton’s game face is pretty serious.

Watching him run makes me want to run.

When Laun gets home from work the kids and dogs surround him.
