Mom’s day

At Marlee’s preschool they held a mom’s brunch today, where we got to watch the cute kids sing. We all went home with homemade goodies from our kids, too.

Marlee made me the cutest card and a recipe holder with her picture.

Marlee wanted to get a picture of me, too:) I feel like the luckiest mom.

I like that she included Laun in the picture with me.

last band concert of the year

Clayton played with beginning band and got to play with intermediate band again for this concert. So proud of him.

He really liked Band class and his teacher Miss Raby.

Tonight the kids and I went to Cherise’s house to visit before she moves to Colorado.

Marlee was pretty excited to play on Laun’s guitar today. She really wants to learn how to play the violin though, since a girl at her school plays.

that’s beast

Apparently, ”that’s beast” means that’s awesome. Maybe it’s the new junior high lingo? Clayton says this almost everyday.

Here’s his “beast” collection of soccer medals from the All Star season.

He got a metal from each tournament and for sportsmanship. He’s also proudly wearing one of the soccer tournament shirts.

I had to document this…Laun doesn’t normally love pesto pizza, but I made this with pesto sauce tonight and he said it was one of the best pizzas he has ever had.

Porter loves when Carter wears this outfit, it’s his favorite. 

This kids facial expressions crack me up.

I think he needs a haircut soon…he’s getting a mullet.

journals with my kids

I think I found this idea on Pinterest…where you have a mom and child journal. I thought it was such a great idea, so I picked up one for each of my kids. Each child has their own journal with me. I write something in the kids journal and then end with a question. Then they answer my question and write something to me ending with a question. And we just go back and forth. It won’t be an everyday thing, just whenever they feel like picking up their journal and writing to me. Since Marlee isn’t full out writing yet, she will draw pictures or tell me her response that I can write and we’ll just progress as she does.
