4th of July-Lake Powell trip

We spent last week at Lake Powell & got there on the fourth of July. It was Ryan & Kami's family, Sam & Janae's family, Josh & Misty's family & Our family minus Marlee (my mom & dad babysat her for us-yea).

The kids watched the fireworks from the top of the house boat:

The next day we moved the boats out to a different place on the lake:

Clayton loved the fishing- one morning he woke some of us up with his excitement of catching a catfish; he yelled,"the fish whipped me with its wiggly whiskers":

He caught 11 fish total on the trip

Clayton was nervous about cliff jumping (I can't blame him, me too) but, Laun offered him a treat if he would try it. He talked to Laun for awhile about it because he was nervous:

Here is Clayton jumping:

Porter jumped too but I didn't get to see it so, no pictures.
We took the boats out to have a picnic:

We found a great spot in the shade with lots of sand to eat our picnic:

Porter making a sand angel:

Porter had a great time sitting with his uncle Sam on the back of the boat:

We made smores the last night:

We had a lot of fun & it was nice to spend time with our boys. We were so thankful to my parents for watching Marlee for us, it made the trip so much easier. And I think Marlee had fun with her grandparents. We missed her & we were all so excited to see her when we got back.

love this

This is what I found when I walked into the living room today:

Clayton is such an amazing big brother to his sister Marlee. He reminds me of Laun because he is so good with kids & they love him. He is such a big helper to me. When Marlee wakes up in the morning he asks if he can get her out of bed & loves to help take care of her. Marlee is 1 lucky girl to have such a great big brother.

I love to see the temple...

Laun & I went to the Gila Valley Temple for the first time yesterday. It was so beautiful & I love the spirit I feel when I attend the temple. I just can't help but think of Cooper & how happy we all will be when we reunite someday. Sometimes it is hard to be patient & I just want to see him now. I am so happy that Laun & I were sealed in the temple & that we can have an eternal family. What better gift could a girl ask for? Unfortunately I forgot my camera & I was so excited to get a picture taken of us in front of the new temple. And Laun looked so handsome in his suit too. Oh well, I will bring the camera next time. On the way home we stopped at a mexican restraunt & got some dinner. I just love date nights.

When Marlee woke up this morning this was our conversation:
Mom-Marlee did you miss mommy?
Marlee-yes
Mom-Marlee did you miss Daddy?
Marlee-yes

This might not seem like a big deal to anyone else but, to me it was. This girl says NO to everything lately. She really must have missed us, this little girl loves her parents. Although when she says no I think it is the cutest thing ever for some reason-I guess the girl can do no wrong:)
