Another fun time at the Smart's Ranch

We went to the Smart's Ranch from thursday-monday for Memorial day weekend & had a great time as usual.

Marlee didn't like being on a horse as much as she did last time-shes kind of afraid of heights now.

This girl wants her Dad to hold her all the time & he is happy to.

the boys caught this^

Marlee had fun with this toy car^

And she loved being pushed in the swing by so many

this baby calf was so cute

We had lots of fun taking rides in the ranger:

Porter taking a ride

Little Jon helping Clayton see the bear- the guys all followed the bear on their horses

The best looking cowboy

I can't believe how long Marlee's hair is getting!

the boys also caught this:

the kids had fun playing games

The Beesons came & brought us a baby cat. The mother is Alley cat-a cat we gave them a while ago because we were moving & couldn't keep it. Port was so sad to say goodbye to Alley cat & now he has one of her kittens that looks just like Alley. It is a boy & is named Buddy.

cutest little girl I know

Some of the cows that were just rounded up:

Marlee loves the cows & said moo over & over again.

Branding the cows- the kids liked watching.

Aunt Nae Nae & Marlee

It was such a beautiful night

The Smarts-Josh doesn't know that you can smile in pictures:)

The prickly pear bushes were in bloom

The guys butchered a steer & cooked it in a smoker- it was very good meat.
cow hide drying out:

Marlee liked having room to roam

Clayton caught a turtle:

Porter reading a book to his cousin Kalie aka white lightening

I even got to go on a roundup & rode Custer

I think the desert is so pretty-the views are great when you are riding a horse.

Our dog Sage went out on the round ups & was so tired at night that she could barely walk.
brothers-Ryan, Jared, & Laun

Bringing the cows in:

I love this man-we have so much fun together!

Laun & Jared:

I love how much fun these brothers have together.

We went to the river to cool off, here are the kids loaded up & ready to swim:

Us girls- you like how white I am compared to Marlee

The kids had fun swimming & building sand castles:

Marlee with Buddy on the way home:

We stopped by where our dog Huck is buried:

We had such a fun time & it was nice to have a long weekend so we could stay a while. Misty made us great food as always & Laun made his bacon & jalepeno hamburgers for everyone. We came home tired from staying up every night with all the adults talking but, it was worth it.
And with it being memorial day weekend, Lucy let me know that Cooper & Mikes graves were decorated & visited- I'm so happy thankful for family remembering our baby.

Some more pictures from our trip to the Smart’s

These pictures are some that Sam & Janae took:

sat & sun

Laun bid on some auto parts recently & got a lot of stuff. So he used what he needed for our truck & then we sold some of the parts at the swap meet saturday & he has sold some online, too. It has worked out well because we have earned all of the money back he spent on the auction & we have made money & have parts we needed. Plus he is still selling more online-Gotta love ebay & craigslist!

Here is Marlee at the swap meet "driving" the truck & a little sunburned. I thought I had sun screen in the car but, I didn't. Luckily the kids are all pretty olive skinned so they only got minor sun burns, unlike me who got a pretty good sun burn.

Laun took this picture of a cactus in our backyard-who says the desert isn't pretty?

The baby bunnies have grown & grown. They are now 6 weeks old so we can start selling them.
And Rexie had 3 bunnies but, they all died the same day they were born (kind of like Salts did)-2 were light & 1 was dark. Hopefully things will go better next time, they did for Salt.

And speaking of bunnies, Marlee loves these:

Marlee is not suppose to have dairy or soy right now & is on zantac, because she has been having similar problems that Porter had as a baby. She has lost some weight but, we know more this time around & are surronded by good doctors so, all is well. The hard part is finding her food that she can have. I found these bunny treats for her & they are pricey but, she is worth every penny.

I like how she has them piled on her^
I'm still sick so, I had the dr. call in some meds-hopefully I will be better fast. So besides the swap meet, I was pretty lazy this weekend. We watched some movies & the LOST finale-this show was on for 6 years so, I am kind of glad it is over. Now I'm looking forward to the Biggest Loser finale.

Schools out for summer

I can't believe that the school year has already come & gone! The boys have learned so much & really worked hard. They were lucky to have good teachers. I love watching my kids grow but it kind of makes me sad too, time flies by so fast!

Ms. ZumMallen & Porter- Kindergarten

Mrs. Bigelow & Clay- 2nd grade

Clayton had the kids in his class sign his shirt^

We went out to eat to celebrate their last day of school. The boys chose Golden Corral- they like it because it is a buffet & they get dessert & Laun & I don't like it because it is a buffet:)
We are looking forward to summer break!

She may be cute but she is not innocent

Who would think that a cute little girl like this could be so naughty?
Here she is bugging Porter on the couch-she kept taking the remote control away, which would mess up his movie. She kept getting in his "personal space"-anyone who knows Porter knows how much he likes (needs) his own space sometimes. Let the fighting begin.

Other hobbies Marlee enjoys, climbing on the kitchen table- I think I'm in for it.

The 17th Street Market

We heard about this store that sold foods from around the world, so we checked it out:

The kids really liked these chocolate treats:

Here is the food we came home with:

I love Botan rice & we got some stuff to make curry, sushi, & egg rolls with.

Jonathan got this drink that came in a cool bottle-when you open it this little glass ball falls, allowing you to drink it. To bad the pop wasn't as good as the sweet bottle it comes in. I am still sick so I can't taste real well but, I guess it tasted like medicine.
