On the way there we pass through a small city called Winkelman. It’s a mining place & we love when we get to see this lava looking stuff flow out of the mountain. I didn’t get a really good picture of it, but I did blind poor Laun with the flash…

Sat-ur-day consisted of a long fishing trip with the Hall’s & Larsens. Lucky me though, I got to kick it at John & Jennette’s home and do homework-such a dedicated student-haha. Thankfully Laun is a stud & took all the kids fishing with him while I studied away and he took lots of great pictures for me…

It’s just too bad Porter didn’t show much excitement over catching his first fish all by himself-just look at that grin-I love it! And Clayton could fish all day, he loves it.
Pictures of Marlee chowing down.
Jared & a flock of cousins.
Ready, steady, Jump!
Ryan is still not letting his broken foot get in his way of having a good time:
Jared & kids…………………………………………………………………….Mason & Porter
Lisa & baby Grant……………………………………………………………….Aldie
Porter is such a handsome boy-
The loves of my life…
They saw strawberries & fiddle head ferns…

On Sun-day we went to Cooper’s grave-miss that baby boy…
Our children-
We didn’t have a way to take a family picture, so we just got separate pictures with our kiddos.
Clayton left a penny for Cooper-so sweet.

love this man
Mon-day started early with a breakfast at a near by cafe & some more fishing- this time I got to join in on the fun…
Porter was the worm threader

Marlee thinks she is such a big help…how could Laun manage without her?
3 in a row
The boys are always finding creatures where ever we go.
Not sure what Marlee is pointing at, but she sure looks cute.
Marlee is obsessed with her new pink sunglasses.
I think we tired her out.
Father & Son look-a-likes.
Marlee insisted on carrying the tackle box.
Clayton could seriously fish all day. Whenever we ask him what he wants to do for the summer he always responds with fishing.
Porter taking a turn.
I LOVE this picture of Porter carrying Marlee because her feet are barely off the ground.
Two peas in a pod.
I think they are done…for now.

We saw so many animals on this trip…

We stopped by some beautiful places, all of which were windy.
Maybe it was so windy that Porter & Marlee tried to fly-not sure what they are doing?
What would I do without my little girl?
Clayton is our photographer, lucky him.
We found another fishing spot since we had no luck at the last one. And I think this location was even windier, if that’s possible.
Clay is at it again…………………………………………………siblings hug-so sweet.
These pictures crack me up. The fish got off the line, but don’t you fear, Laun just goes & catches it by hand. Who needs a fishing pole anyways? He needs to be on a survivor man show or something.
Port fishing, while trying not to be blown away. Marlee was winded out, so I finally took her to the truck for a nap & read my book for Math class, so exciting, I know).
The loot & grinning boys.
And some more animals. We wanted to make sure that Marlee was really seeing the elk, so we asked her what color they were & she said “chocolate.”

On our way home we stopped by another fishing spot. Nothing was caught, but the kids still had fun playing in the water.
On the drive home Laun spotted a Gila Monster & it was HUGE!
We had a great mini vacation& it was good to stay for 5 days, instead of 2 like we normally do.
